Talieng BAMBOO ROUND TABLE|TRADITIONAL PATTERN|DARK|Diameter 49 cm
A bamboo round table handcrafted by Talieng people in Attapeu Province, southern Laos. The woven design is one of the traditional patterns of the Talieng and is used locally as a dining table.
Although its deep color and surface character may give it the appearance of an old object, this is a contemporary piece. Exposure to wood smoke in a traditional cooking environment gradually develops the rich, reddish dark tones and natural variations across the bamboo surface.
The table is constructed in three layers, each using a different weaving technique. The intricate weave and multiple legs provide stability while keeping the structure lightweight enough to lift and move easily with one hand.
The tabletop is generally flat, but as it is woven from bamboo, very small vessels such as 30 ml teacups may be less stable depending on where they are placed. A tray or flat board can be used when additional stability is needed.

【Individual Characteristics】
・Part of the tabletop shows some surface wear resulting from the material and its production and storage environment.
・One leg has a partial vertical split, but this does not affect normal use.
・The tabletop is generally flat, with a deep reddish tone that gives the piece a calm appearance.
_
【Please Note】
・As the bamboo is smoked over a wood-burning hearth, variations in tone and uneven coloration occur depending on its position during the smoking process. Color and surface character will vary between individual pieces.
・Soot is removed as thoroughly as possible before sale, but small traces may remain. Please take care to avoid color transfer when leaning the table against white walls or when it comes into contact with clothing.
・As the table has been stored in a space with a traditional cooking hearth, a smoky scent may remain. Minor marks from storage and transportation may also occur.
・As the table is made entirely by hand, variations and irregularities in the weave, form, and finish are inherent to the piece.
・Colors may appear slightly different depending on the photography and display environment.

about Maintenance
CARE & MAINTENANCE
- The bamboo may retain a smoky aroma or traces of soot. If noticeable, leave it in a well-ventilated area and the aroma will gradually diminish.
- Avoid prolonged direct contact with white walls or light-colored fabrics, as some soot transfer may occur.
- Avoid prolonged storage in hot or humid environments, and do not leave the product wet.
- If it becomes wet, wipe away excess moisture and dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
- If insects are found, the item may be immersed in hot water at 60°C (140°F) or above for approximately 5–10 minutes. Avoid prolonged soaking.
