Suppa Himalayan Bamboo Winnowing Tray

Suppa is a traditional bamboo winnowing tray used in far-western Nepal to separate husks and other unwanted material from harvested grains. Finely split Himalayan bamboo is densely woven and reinforced with a wooden core around the rim, creating a lightweight yet durable structure.

Its broad, shallow form with gently raised edges developed from the practical movement of winnowing grain. Today, it can also be used for fruit and vegetables, or as a tray for vessels and everyday objects.
