Katu BAMBOO OVAL TABLE|TRADITIONAL PATTERN|104 × 57 cm
A large oval bamboo table handcrafted by Katu people in southern Laos.
Its gently elongated form resembles a gourd or the hull of a boat. Measuring 104 cm in width, the generous tabletop is suited to meals or tea shared by several people, as well as arranging tableware, teaware, plants, and other objects.
The table is constructed in three woven layers, providing stability while remaining relatively lightweight and easy to move. Its distinctive details include a finely woven traditional bamboo pattern, the contrast created by the intricate weave, careful finishing, and legs that form a gentle curve beneath the tabletop.
The light-colored bamboo has been moderately exposed to smoke while stored in a space with a traditional cooking hearth, developing a beautiful ochre tone.

【Please Note】
・Although the three-layer construction provides stability, please avoid leaving extremely heavy objects of approximately 10 kg or more on the table for extended periods.
・As the table has been stored in a space with a traditional cooking hearth, a smoky scent may remain. Minor marks from storage and transportation may also occur.
・Prolonged contact with white surfaces such as plaster walls may result in soot transfer.
・Avoid storing the table in highly humid conditions or leaving it wet for extended periods.
・As the table is made entirely by hand, variations and irregularities in the weave, form, and finish are inherent to the piece.
・Colors may appear slightly different depending on the photography and display environment.
