For Wrapping

25cm Knitted Cloth
A size for wrapping small vessels and valuables.
Suitable for plates up to about 15cm in diameter, rice bowls, small bowls, small teaware, watches, glasses without a case, and jewelry.

먹 (Meok) Ink-dyed — Allo wrapping cloth

35cm Knitted Cloth
The most versatile size for wrapping a wide range of tableware used in daily life.
As a guide, it can be used for plates up to about 21cm in diameter, as well as mugs, teapots, and glasses.

먹 (Meok) Ink-dyed — Allo wrapping cloth

45cm Knitted Cloth
A size for wrapping larger vessels and objects with more height or depth.
As a guide, it can be used for plates up to about 27cm in diameter, as well as larger bowls, serving vessels, and bottles.

Wrapping Books

Knitted cloth can be used not only for vessels, but also for wrapping books, notebooks, and planners.

For around two paperback or standard-format books, 35cm is a useful guide. For four to five books together, thicker books, or magazines, 45cm is generally more suitable.
※ Not suitable for A4 files.

Because the cloth conforms to the shape of what it wraps, it also works well with angular objects and provides protection during transport or storage.

Using Folded

13 × 55cm / 30 × 50cm / 25cm Knitted Cloth

These three sizes include a loop approximately 9cm long.

The loop is short enough to stay out of the way during use and allows the cloth to be hung from a hook for storage. Folded, the cloth can also be used as a tea cloth, trivet, pot holder, or small cover.
It can, of course, also be used beneath vessels and tools.

Its length and shape are designed for washing the body while making use of Allo fiber’s naturally crisp texture.

It can also be used as a placemat or surface mat.

Choosing a Wrapping Cloth Size for Vessels

If you are deciding between 25cm, 35cm, and 45cm, first check the diameter of the vessel you want to wrap, or its width and height.

For standard flat plates, the following is a useful guide.

25cm|up to 15cm diameter
35cm|up to 21cm diameter
45cm|up to 27cm diameter

※ Based on standard flat plates approximately 2–3cm high.

Tips for Choosing a Size

Even with the same vessel, the thickness and cushioning change depending on the size of the cloth.A larger cloth creates more overlapping layers and therefore more cushioning. When placing wrapped objects in a basket or box, a smaller cloth keeps the bundle more compact.

Choose the size that best suits what you intend to wrap and how you plan to use it.
We hope Allo can be useful in daily life for wrapping, placing, washing, and other purposes.
